Luxury Da Vinci Dinner

Luxury Dinners
COLLECTION Since 2015 (progressive collection)

SUMMARY

“Luxury Da Vinci Dinner” is a contemporary interpretation of Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper. True to his distinctive style, artist Philippe Shangti integrates a sumptuous and luxurious setting while paying homage to Renaissance paintings and artists.
Shangti explores the idea that the true luxury of the era of the great Italian and Flemish painters resided in the magic emanating from their brushes, creating pictorial works frozen for eternity, allowing future generations to admire these timeless pieces.
In this photograph, Shangti replaces traditional luxury elements such as champagne and expensive beverages with representations of golden paint, symbolizing artistic wealth. Brushes become the ultimate objects of creation, illustrating the idea that art and creativity are the true treasures of any era.
He weaves a visual enigma through modern symbols and clues hidden amidst the excess. He invites viewers to decipher the message, just like Leonardo da Vinci and his secret codes.
This work presents a complex enigma to discover and highlights the eternal value of art through the ages.
