The photograph “Luxury Pollution Car,” created in 2017 by artist Philippe Shangti as part of his “No Pollution Here” collection, pays homage to beauty in a world threatened by various forms of pollution. Initially, this photograph was sold in art galleries in editions of 7 copies across 3 different formats. This “Signature Masterpiece” piece, a unique format printed on museum-certified paper and hand-signed and numbered by the artist at the reverse of the print, was also produced by the artist in 2017 for his personal collection and later sold to a collector.
This artwork was recently auctioned on Saturday, June 8, in Monaco, achieving a hammer price of €290,000, making it the most expensive photographic work by a contemporary French artist ever sold at auction
